Mission Statement

Colorado Police and Fire Athletic Association Mission Statement

The mission of the Colorado Police and Fire Athletic Association (CPFAA) is to develop, organize, and coordinate sporting events to promote physical fitness among police officers, fire fighters, public safety, and emergency health care professionals across Colorado and throughout the United States. In doing so each year, the CPFAA also raises donations for different charities throughout the state. For a list of the charity(s), we support click here.

Vision statement

Once a year, since 1986 the Colorado Police and Fire Athletic Association hosts an “Olympic style” sporting competition for police, fire, public safety, and emergency health care professionals. These members can be from city, state, county, federal, and military organizations. The CPFAA offers between 10 and 16 different sporting events to promote physical fitness, develop camaraderie between competitors from agencies across the state. The event also provides the opportunity to foster and discuss matters of mutual work-related interests. Each year, a different law enforcement and/or fire agency is selected from a city within Colorado to host the annual games. At the conclusion of the games, The CPFAA presents a donation from that year’s profit to the hosting agencies and boards charity(s) of choice.
